2026 Tree Giveaway

To celebrate Arbor Day, New Prague will be hosting its annual Tree Giveaway event on Saturday, April 25th, 2026, from 10:00 am - Noon at the Memorial Park picnic shelter near the softball fields. Only New Prague City residents may participate in this free event and must preorder their selection of trees.  

This year the City of New Prague will be offering a selection of four trees: white oak, sugar maple, red maple, and common hackberry. Residents may choose up to three trees. The trees will be bareroot, and 12-18 inches tall. It is strongly recommended to plant these trees immediately to give them the best chance of survival. Free mulch will also be available.
